Eaten by Nature
The Sweet Juniper blog has a gallery of abandoned Detroit houses that are being overcome by the foliage around them, trees and shrubs and plants growing around, on and in them. (via Boing Boing)

Sadly Detroit has many, many abandoned homes, and is populated mostly by poor blacks. The white people ran after the riots of 1968, and moved to the suburbs. Unlike Europe, in the U.S. cities have the poor in the inner city and the middle class is in the suburbs. The house with the foliage may look beautiful, but it is actually the result of fear.

This is just like what I saw on a Discovery Channel series “Life After People”. In stages of 10, 20 , 50, 100, 500, 1,00 years, etc., nature will completely take back what humans created. All vestiges of mankind would be wiped away, to include skyscrapers, the Golden Gate Bridge, EVERYTHING! Not a trace left. What the elements don’t destroy over centuries, micro-organisms, plants, and animals will overrun or eat. It would be as if humans never existed. The Earth would return to it’s original state as before humans. Only God and nature can undo what we cannot!

That’s a quite scary though, but its definitely true … :)
